Marathon, one of the cornerstones of Zodiak France, has developed a unique expertise in drama series. Its portfolio of international and domestic hits includes Saint-Tropez, the most widely exported French series in the world (480X52’) ; Dolmen, the top-rated mini-series on TF1 in 2005; Secrets, M6’s best advertising revenue in 2007 ; A Man’s World, a 90’ comedy for M6 ; Mystery at the Moulin Rouge, France 2’s #3 best drama ratings in 2011 ; and comedy series Summer Camp (2 seasons of 6X52’ each), best French drama launch on TF1 in 2012.

Among the latest productions is Back to St Tropez, the spin-off of cult series Saint-Tropez. After a record-breaking first season, a second is airing on TMC (episodes 17 to 32) while a 3rd season is currently in development.

Marathon is also developing ambitious international co-productions including Versailles, a high-budget historical drama coproduced with Capa Drama for Canal + shot end of 2014.

Philippe Alessandri is CEO of Marathon (and GTV) since 2013, in addition to his role at the helm of Tele Images. This nomination follows Pascal Breton’s departure, after many years heading the company he created in 1990.

Marathon is the original entity around which the Zodiak France group of companies has developed. Zodiak France comprises Marathon, Marathon Media, Tele Images, GTV, ALP, KM Productions and Mona Lisa.
